me and a team mate are thinking about trading spikes. he really wants my maxcats and i want my g5s that i gave to him. granted the maxcats are in much better condition but i do like those g5s. should i trade or wait until this summer and get them for like 50 bucks and keep the maxcats

don’t you already have the G5s? I think nike is releasing a new superfly next season, because its about time. So if I were you, I’d sell them maxcats on ebay or to your teammate if hes willing to. I just got my G5s and I don’t like the colors, I like my royal blue superfly P+ more because theyre in my team colors. I wanna trade my super shifts(sz 9) and superfly G5(sz 9.5) , cuz theyre not the right colors. If any one wants to make a deal , I can trade or sell on ebay, let me know. I’m looking for maxcats, jsc, celar I, celar+, superfly P+, adidas demolisher, asics cyberflash in sz 9 or 9.5.

          thanks

You guys have been around longer than I have. Is it common for spikes to drop in price during the Summer? In your original post, you mentioned you could pick up G5s for $50 in the Summer…is this logical? Well, around $50, at least?

yea once the season ends all spikes drop price big time. i bought the superflys the old mo greene ones that use to be $110, i got them for 60 and the maxcats dropped down from $100 in-season price to $50 once the season ends. ususally a good time to buy all you athletic needs, thats what i do and im guessing what most of these guys on here do

I usually wait for spikes to drop to about $50-$60 on footlocker.com, then I would order 2 pairs and put in the 30% discount they have once in a while. Except for the maxcats, I dropped $100 right when they came out .

I just got my grey/red G5s for $50….from eastbay. They just popped up one day in only sz 9.5 so I just snatched em up right away. I don’t like em very much, you get what you pay for I guess.

never said i didnt like the g5s, i dont like the maxcats on an outdoor surface. i ran with them at my state meet and the new england championships and they felt great, but now on the outdoor surface i feel a lot of discomfort, i loved the g5s just my friend didnt have any spikes so i gave them to him………..

I swear by the maxcats, I have no complaints except that it took some time to get used to them. They’re my second favorite spikes after the powersprint IIs. It’s probably because you wear bad socks, or maybe even no socks at all. Try some cushioned socks, the nike ones that cost like $7 a pair.

i wear some new balance socks, been using since freshmand year and i’ve had no problems with any other shoe. i just sold my celars because they ripped on me the first wear. ill give the maxcats another chance hopefully they work out because they are dead sexy in black

I’d say try some thicker socks for just your maxcats, because they only have 5 pins, which puts more pressure on your foot. yeah, i got the black one too DEAD SEXY 😯
