After taking 8 weeks of from training and finally getting injury free. I have now got more injuries at the same time than ever. Even tough my training volume has been gradually icreased. At the moment I have plantar faciitis, sore achilles tendon, gilmores groin. And a strange injury under my foot because I did calf raises barefoot with load on my back. I think It some kind of bruice injury. Its innflammeted and is swollen after training and when getting up in the morning. Its seems like the bruice injury made me get the other injuriesm because I was uncounciusly changing my running mechanics because of it. btw this also made me get a overuse injury of the muscles on the side of the same foot that I have plantar faciitis.
Ok I am wondering what to do now. I have pain in my daily life when walking and standing and my biggest concern now is to get totally painfree in my daily life.
actually I am able to train quite intensively runnning but I get pain afterwords and the day after and It doesent feel right.
I am thinking to just train strength now and do some alternative activities like swimming, biking or skiing for a long period so that I eventuelly get injury free. Good idea?
Some says its will not help to quit running to heal the injury. but I dont want to walk around with pain in my feets all the time.
So should I just take a rest from the running and focus on getting injury free? or run what I can handle and hope the injuries will heal themselfes after some time?
Btw I am doing self treatment of my ijuries everyday. Icing and massaging.
