          Why is he waiting until now to appeal?  So he could make up a fool-proof story??

          and do people really inject B12 into them??

          B12 has pretty crappy oral viability, so yeah, lots of people inject b12.

          It seems Gatlin is 'covering all the bases.' He's taking an unusual approach to getting off the doping violation….admitting that the test was right but that he was sabotaged….either by a masseuse or by injection. What do you believe?

          I'm always amazed at how many poor athletes get taken advantage of by having someone stick a needle into them without bothering to ask what it is  :barf:

          Sarcasm aside, I do believe that Graham is a glorified pusher, somewhere down the line, he had to know what was going into his body. Believe it or not, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, and saying that he is not just a huge idiot that lets random drugs into his body.

          Not to the IAAF by the current rules. If you test positive it doesn't matter how it happened.

          Maybe he had a legitimate need for test.  I bet he had an anti-aging doc diagnose hyopgonadism caused by his ADD medication.    In fact, he's probably ADD, narcoleptic, asthmatic, AND hypogonadal so he's good for adderall, modafinil, ephedrine, and test.  THAT would be my excuse :eureka:

          Maybe he had a legitimate need for test.  I bet he had an anti-aging doc diagnose hyopgonadism caused by his ADD medication.    In fact, he's probably ADD, narcoleptic, asthmatic, AND hypogonadal so he's good for adderall, modafinil, ephedrine, and test.  THAT would be my excuse :eureka:

          I would add that I'm also diabetic and short of stature which explains my insulin and HGH use.

          Gatlin is clearly pulling out all stops (can you blame him….especially in the event that he actually is innocent and / or was sabotaged) to try to run in 2008. I wonder how he'd be accepted if he were reinstated in time to compete next year. I don't think that will happen but it would be an interesting case study on the effects of taking a year off from world class training. We saw what happened to Marion when she took time off….it took about 3 years to return to top level form and even then she was way off her old form (although that could have been due to other reasons as well).

We saw what happened to Marion when she took time off….it took about 3 years to return to top level form and even then she was way off her old form (although that could have been due to other reasons as well).

          This might be an isolated case, but look at Matt Hemingway back in 2000. He hadnt competed since about '97 and came back to jump 2.38 that year! Over that time he did play b-ball almost everyday though.

          Well he'd have to have subjected himself to random (and scheduled) tests to be allowed back to contests within 2 years. At least, that's the way every other athlete has had it when they have had a non-life ban.

          I'm pretty sure I read that his legal woes and coaching situation was severely hampering his training. This was around the time he was trying out for football teams. I believe it was said to set the context of he could be even faster than he tested at his personal combine.
