For some reason in spandex, I'm always more flexible than in my regular workout outfit.

It compresses your muscles, hence the name compression short. Right?

Tighter (or more) clothing –> less loss of body heat –> higher core and peripheral body temp –> more flexible muscles.

Then wouldnt that mean you should use compression sports all the time while in cold practices?

It certainly wouldn't hurt to wear compression shorts for every session, especially in cold weather.

wouldn't they cut down on wind resistance which would make running feel less fatiguing?

Yes they actually do cut down on wind pants some peoples shorts can act as a parachute cathing air that why we use body suites.

Maybe this is why the elite is seen wearing long thighs even in very hot weather? I do this myself.

          A. The elite wear long thighs during practice.
          B. I wear long thighs during practice.
          C. I am elite.
