i'm just gettin back into it bro, gotta get rid of that fatty muscle and become lean. what weight should i be shootin 4.
-
all i can tell ya is i seem to be a lightweight when it comes to sprinting. I'm 5'10" 155-160lbs (it can change like 8 lbs throughout the day) and i have 7% body fat.
-
I'm around 5'7"-5'8" fluctuate between 145-150 Dunno if i am a flexible or power sprinter….8 percent body fat, you can see my abs pretty well, they are scraping hte surface haha. I am well toned…
but i think my body wieght to weight room ratios are pretty good.my Max bench is 185
never tested max for cleans or squats but i usually do reps of around 215-230 on the squat (generally 4×5 or 3×5-4-3..) but i feel i could max out on a lot more weight (maybe 50 to 70 more lbs?)and my clean I usually rep 115-125 in a 4×4 or 3×4-3-3 scheme. i am thinking that my maxi n the lcean would prolly be 140-145?

thats just seems odd to me because i hate squats so i don't do them…and i know i should and i'm planning on it. But my max squat is maybe 245-250lbs…and i weigh about 155 and my max combo (clean+front squat…yeah you know) is 205lbs. I just can't stand squats…its so uncomfortable for me and it hurts my back. I can do one legged squats with a 75lbs dumbell and most of teh guys who squat 300 can't even do that.

You should probably be shooting to hit 170 or so. I'm sure you have a lot of lean body mass, so I wouldn't try to lose too much of that in an effort to drop fat.
I'm 5-10, 155 and I don't lift weights a lot (not b/c I don't want to, I can't), and I bench 200, squat 225×3 (DEEP), and PC 200.
You need to make sure that no matter how big or strong you are in the weightroom, that it doesn't have negative affects on your performances on the track. If you really wanna be a true sprinter, you'll realize that weightroom work is secondary to track work, and plyos are on the same level of weights.
As you get back running you'll notice that you'll lose some bodyfat (I always do), so that'll help, but make sure to stick to a strict diet and exercise routine and you'll see results in no time.

not that I did a specific test on this but with me..I noticed that when I use heavier weights that it usually transfers to faster tiems for me (especially the 60) but I lke to follow Charlie Francis's method used in his book training for speed where he said weight lifting volume is reduced so you can focus on the development of speed endurance so I usually decrease volume 30-50 % (such as if I were to do a total of 20 reps on one lift then I woudl drop it to 12 or 10 reps)

talking about the sprints size ,,would 6'5'' 220 lbs (not fat just muscle)
to big for a sprinter? We have a 6'7" decathlete who weighs about 230 and runs one of the fastest 30m/40m times on the team. His 100m PR is sub-10 and he's also run sub 16 for 150m.

Ooops I meant sub 11.0…..he's probably going to run around a 10.6X this year. He is a stud nonetheless.
