          These guys are unbelieveable.

          110H – Ginn 13.40 (new state record!)

          4 x 200 – 1:25.11 (new state record!)

          4 x 100 – 41.59

          400m – Ginn 46.88

          200m – Ginn 21.57

          4 x 400 – 3:15.04

And as a side note, Austin Wechter from Shelby HS (Division 3 school – small school division) runs 36.97 in the 300H

That whole team was flying! in the semifinals of the 100 O'neal and Lenix run 10.68 and 10.69! Vest speed depth of a team I have seen! Hopefully Ginn won't be like Nelloms, the previous record holder and will have a very VERY birhgt future running and playing football at Ohio State next fall and spring.

Also, Dagov, Austin Wecheter was in Division 2, not division 3, but that time in the hurdles was flying! Sorry I didn't meet up with you again on Saturday my family and I got to caught up in Easton Mall and forgot what the time was!

That's ok Fabio. After the embarrassment my runners made on themselves, I left immediately afterward. I didn't even stay to watch the other divisions.

          Gov-

I'd like to see Ginn up against our own Wisconsin standout, Antonio Freeman. He'll be a Badger next year (football, track) so they'll have their shots at Big 10s.

WI state meet this past weekend…

          Antonio Freeman double- 10.68 21.44

Only problem with his school is they don't have the same depth as Ginn and Glenville. 4×100 good for 42.24 and a gold medal but wouldn't stack up with the big boys elsewhere.

Yeah but when you at one point had the fastest time in the state and you EXPECT them to be state champs, AND the fact that tactically they ran like complete crap, I was pissed.

The other events weren't so hot either.

They would only go at it in the 200.

And trust me jumps, you may only be able to count on one hand how many teams can stack up with Glenville in the entire country!

Also, not to be forgotten. . .
They also have a shot putter who threw 57 feet and got 5th in the state. Congrats to him as well.

          Gov-

Observing our entire meet this past weekend and looking through other states' results, I'd say wisconsin h.s. track and field is 'middle of the pack' as far as level of competition goes. We had some great performances out of both boys and girls, large and small school divisions…although our boys and girls did not have such a great weekend 🙁

Yea I can see why you were pissed, but the last tiem I checked the sheet you bring all 4 of them back next year right? If so then that would be awesome.

Ginn has gone 21.16 in the 200 FAT. I expect him to go sub 21 in college.

Every single athlete on my team (distance, sprints, jumps, throws) is returning next year. In fact, in the sprints, I don't graduate anyone for the next TWO years!! HUGE things from us next season!!

I've said this NUMEROUS times this season. What people have seen so far is NOTHING. . . . NOTHING compared to the assault they will put on the record books this weekend at AOC. I can almost GUARANTEE YOU that all three relay records are GONE!!

Did I not tell you guys that this team is sick!!!! Check out the early results I got from AOC's:

4 x 100 – 40.65 in the semis and the second fastest qualifying time(with Ginn). . . then comes back and goes 40.51 to win in the finals

          What makes this one even sicker is that their B relay. . . . let me repeat. . . . THEIR "B" RELAY!!!!. . . . . ran 41.13 (third overall!!!)

          A "B" RELAY. . . . WITHOUT TED GINN. . . . .RUNNING 41.13. . . OH MY GOD!!!!!. . . . there should be a law!!!!. . lol

4 x 200 – 1:23.78. . . just missing the national record set by the great Wyatt squad out of Fort Worth, TX of 1:23.31. . . . unbelievable!!!!

          The "B" relay goes 1:26.07. . . . . . talent. . . . . . pure talent!!!!!

I just saw those results and was 😮

Wanted to see your reaction Gov 😉

Anyone would have to admit that the depth of that team is extremely sick….wowsas!

without A DOUBT cleveland glenvile has the best depth in the sprints out of any school in the nation. I would liek you to name me another school who can have 2 relay teams, and A and B team that can go sub 41 and sub 42 FAT WITH EASE. It's being TOO NICE to call those results sick.

Did you see the 45.4 bomb that TG2 dropped on the anchor of the 4 x 4? It still wasn't enough to overcome Elzie Coleman's team though.

          We happy in Buckeye land!!

And everybody else raves about how great texas, florida, and california are, who woulda known that a team from Ohio, a midwestern state that has freezing cold temps in the witner and rainforest like rain and savannah heat in the summer have the BEST crop of spritners in the nation:rolleyes:

          Ohio is the shiz

Everyone give it up to Ohio… no longer to be overlooked in T&F circles when talkin about the 'big boys' !!!

the question now is, how long will we last up with the 'big boys'? I know Jeff See is a question mark because of his illness, which forced him to forego his summer season and AOC…if you don'tremember who he is he ran a 4:06 1600m at the state meet his sophmore year.

Some people are players and others are playMAKERS.

I doubt you see TG run the 200 all that often in college if he decides to run the 400 hurdles. It's nice to have an athlete who gives you so many options. Not only that, but I've observed that Ted is an athlete who makes the people around him better. You can't ask for more than that. I'd like to see Ohio State be one of the elite 4 x 1 and 4 x 4 squads in the NCAA, Penn Relays, etc.

For those who might be curious, here are some of the outdoor school records at OSU:
          200-20.22
          400-44.10 (Butch, of course)
          110h-13.43
          400h-49.10
          400r-38.93
          800r-1:22.89
1600r-3:00.89 (had Robert Smith & Chris Nelloms running)

It would appear that the hurdles records would be most vulnerable

ps. Around NE Ohio there are magnet schools for certain talents such as Arts and Music and Science. We have nicknamed Glenville-The Cleveland School for the Sprints 😉 Coach Ginn does a great job on the east side. It's a very tough neighborhood!!

I just read this thread on Ginn and Ohio track and wanted to drop my 2 cents. For what it’s worth anyway.

I have worked with Ginn and Austin Wechter. Wechter is a good kid, I wish him a lot of luck in college.

Ginn is a freak. If Rogers and the OSU gang are smart, he will concentrate on the 110mHH. After putting him threw a workout session at the OTC last summer (’03), I told peopel that he could/would break the national record in the HH. I still believe that he could have done that.

Ginn was adament that were he went to school he would be able to do both FB and Track. He needs very little luck to succeed in either of the sports or in the classroom or in life. It was a joy to get to know both Ginn Sr and Ginn Jr and look forward to seeing them both continue their success in the near future.
