I will try to be thorough and explain this without video, so use your imagination. It stems off the discussion about the sled work and tibia rolling. I had two athletes at my other school who had enormous problems with fouling and consistency. While we drilled acceleration mechanics, the knee would unhinge and the tibia would roll down. Consequently, a similar type action would occur at TO and cause the athletes to foul.
While we will all agree that steering does occur and this is a practiced skill, do you think that the first steps have a greater effect on the athlete and the root of the problem rather than a steering issue?
