So lately I’ve had a bit of a problem.
Our schools practices are right after school, at 2:30 PM. We record speed twice a week, and my times have dropped off as of late. I feel flat, slow, and sluggish even when I really try to amp myself up. My times have reflected this. Usually, when I lift a few hours later I start with starts out to 15m, or 50m sprints outside if the weather is reasonable. These always feel spot on, powerful, etc. I’m almost sure this is directly related to the time I’m training. Speed/Power/Coordination wise I’m just not 100% at that time of day. For whatever reason I feel better at night. For those of your knowledgeable on this type of thing, is there anything I could do to adjust my body clock so I feel “on spot” earlier in the day? Maybe something sleep schedule related, diet wise, or doing something high intensity during the day?
