sweet my coffee addiction turns out to be healthy
I've been saying this for years. The research evidence supporting the health benefits of coffee are becoming too overwhelming for skeptics to deny: antioxidants, increased cognitive function (both short term and long term), enhanced liver / kidney health, decreased likelihood of dementia and Alzheimer's, etc.

Hmm. This also would apply to decaf coffee, right?
I think some of the benefits do…like antioxidants and kidney / liver health.

What about tea? I would think tea > coffee, but they seem to be similar in their benefits. Seems odd not to mention. I wonder how this was determined (through ORAC, which is flawed, or whatever other way).
Yeah tea is very high in antioxidants also, especially the green and white varieities. I personally drink about 1-2 cups of white tea and 1-2 cups of coffee each day. Tea also boast a wide array of health benefits- decreased likelihood of tooth decay, lower bad cholesterol levels, increased immune function, etc.
I'm not exactly sure how the ranking was determined. I didn't get the list directly from the article.

Rooibos tea is great too for the decaf variety. In the morning, I typically have some sort of white/green mix (usually ~2-3 cups, but sometimes more) then another couple cups in the afternoon of the same or rooibos and then some sort of decaf tea in the night (rooibos, chamomile, decaf green, etc.). Tastes great and is good for you.
