I wrap my big toe everyday with athletic tape and sometimes the ball of my foot. I think I got it from over-striding in the past which I seem to do unless I focus on stepping down.

Thanks. What about carbon fiber or plastic insoles with a stiff forefoot? Have you tried that? I think mine is being driven by doing accel and sprint work in flats that have a flexible forefoot.

I haven’t but I had the same issue with accel in in flats.
Matt, I had an acute injury to my sesamoid after college that was extremely painful. I tried some stiff forefoot inserts and it allowed me to train through the rehab. I would definetely give them a shot. I did a quick search and found the following site. https://indianabrace.com/ They look better than what my local podiatrist cooked up for me.

Brendon – Thanks much. Appreciate it!
Saw you’re entered down at the Master’s in NM. Do you do anything on Friday, or just Sat-Sunday?
Looking forward to meeting you there.
