    Two workout days in a row

          If I took a full day off and then did two consecutive workouts such as 600m x 2 (80%) and then the next day did relatively the same thing, would I be allowing for a full recovery for myself or is it too much work for such a short time frame?

          I’ll occasionally do this type of thing (2 hard days back to back) but it’s almost always under special or unusual circumstances. Only once or twice a year will I do it on purpose to simulate big meet scenarios (where athletes have to run well 2 days back to back).

          this year the Australian champs 400m was run on 3 consecutive days (heats thurs, semi’s fri, final sat).. what would you do to prepare for something like this if you knew it was coming up, would you still only do your occasional 2 days in a row session?
