It seems as-if there will be a number of board members either attending this meet or even competing in this meet. I purchased my plane ticket, have my accommodations set, and am entered into the meet. I will be competing in the 60m. Who else is going to be there and if you’re competing, in what events?

I will be there in my designated 6′ x 18′ coach’s boxes by all the women’s jumps.

I’ll be there…I’m doing doing the 60 meter hurdle, PV and Shot Put…I believe. Apparently they are only allowing 3 unattached participants per event though so I hope that doesn’t affect us getting into the meet.

I’ll be there with much of my training group in tow…some of whom are members or lurkers on ET. I’d guess we could have as many as 10 ET members there.

Davan…have you talked to the meet director to ensure that you can get in…I am a little worried about all of unattached guys on here getting in considering some of the stipulations… I think its 24 people max per event and possibly 3 unattached per event. This is just what I’ve heard from various people and I was wondering if you had heard anything else.

It’s top 24 seeds so Davan won’t have an issue…there won’t be 24 people running faster than 6.78 or 21.20…

So as long as your top 24 you’ll be ok…assuming you’ve entered of course.

Assuming they don’t take 24 lie entries of people putting a time .3 faster than they’ve ever run in their life.

I called him on Thursday and spoke with him. He was very courteous and understanding of the situation, but said I was in without issue. I offered to provide meet results and send video if necessary to confirm my entry, but he said it was no big deal and that I was definitely in the meet. He did say that unattached athletes will not be running in preliminaries for the 60m and have their own straight final heat @ I believe 2:45pm. That part was disappointing, but there should be some good comp.

I also scratched from the 200m. I thought the track might be banked and apparently it is not.
