I just watched it. Two things stood out.

          1. Usain Bolt did not qualify to the next round. And he looked horrible in NOT doing so. I don’t think he was recovered from his injury.

          2. Now that my prediction of Bolt winning the gold aint happening, gatlin will now double. If you seen how easy he and comfortable running 20.48 in his heat, you’ll see what I mean.

i dont know dagov, crawford was lookin pretty good. but gatlins performance in the 100 makes me hesitant to bet against him.

Crawford looked good. But there is something to say about how EASY it looked for him to run what he ran. He seriously looked like he was doing a 200 rep at practice or something.

Gatlin will double, plain and simple.

I have learned that quarterfinals mean absolutely nothing, as long as you qualify. So what Crawford ran 19.95 easing up? He ran 19.88 easing up at the Olympic Trials, then didn’t break 20 in the finals. Same with Mike Marsh a few Olympics back. I’m not saying he won’t or can’t win, I’m just saying it’s unreasonable to say he will run 19.6x based on this run alone.

Just wait and see. I never seen someone slow up that much and run that type of time. Id like to see his 150 split.

You might be right, but I thought Asafa Powell was going to run 9.7 in the 100 meter final because he looked so damn good in the quarters!! My opinion is that It will be close between Crawford and Gatlin and Obikwelu, and the time will be anywhere between 19.75 and 19.85. I’m pulling for Obikwelu though!

A few posts ago when I was talking about how easy he looked in the heats, I was talking about Justin Gatlin, NOT Shawn Crawford. Carwford is kinda becoming a joke to me as well.
