Alright here’s the deal. I was wondering if it would be alright and not detrimental if I were to lift at 11:25 to 12:12 and then go run at 3:15 on my high intensity days. I would eat a protein bar or drink a protein shake after my weights workouts and I would only be doing the Bench Press, Back Squat, and Power Clean (all around 2-4 sets of 2-4 reps at 85-95%) the days where I sprint and lift are being cut down due to I am going to see this guy who is helping me out with my hamstrings, he is only having me do what some would call “supplemental excercisies” which consist of glute-ham raises, reverse hypers, rever leg presses, and leg curls. Hes doing this for free of charge plus he has some tight credentials so I thought I might as well take him up on this offer (I do believe people meet for a reason and not a coincidence)
btw..the reason why I can’t lift there is because he is very picky about that, his gym, his workouts nothing “on your own”, which I don’t blame him at all. I am also seeing him 2 times a week which means one day a week I would be doing my ususal thing and I plan to hold that on my most intense day. here’s is a generic layout of what my program looks like right now
Monday-SE1/Weights/Plyos (day with him)
Tuesday-Tempo/MB/Circuits
Wednesday-MaxV/Weights/Plyos
Thursday-same as Tues
Friday-Speed Endurance/Weights/Plyos (day with him)
IMO, I think it would be OK for me to do this, I have around 3-4 hours gap between lifting and sprinting and the workouts he is having me do aren’t anytihng like max weights and are targeted to really strengthen my glutes/hams since I am REALLY weak with them.
I know some of the stuff in here is randomso sorry…thoughts?
