We got an idividual on our team that is a few inches ahead of me in the long jump at 23 feet. Only thng is this guy isnt that fast. He runs around a 6.8x 55. And he cannot high jump or triple jump. 42 feet at best.
He is 5'8 160 pounds (no muscle) and doesnt have any muscle nor extraordinary hops-he can get just above the rim like myslef. He doesnt lift and in the weight room the one time i saw him he was struggling benching 185 pounds 3 times and his squat is just as bad.
What qualities is it that this kid has that enables him to jump far?
Im guessing stored elastic strength but i feel there is more to it than this.
