First off fat cannot turn into muscle nor can muscle turn into fat.
What you need to do is build more muscle. In order to gain weight you will need to take in at least 2 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight per day and lift heavy for reps over 8 (for hypertrophy).If you dont mind me asking why would you like to gain weight anyway? If you are a track athlete unless your very weak and skinny improving your weight to strength ratio should be the focus in otherwords strength without size.

Aigh, shes about 5'5", 100lbs she runs XC…and outdoor she runs the 800 – 1500. she not very big….as described…and would liek to gain a little more weight. just wondering what she can do…what she can take(recomended brands, dosage, ect…) to help her accomplish this…peace bro

what are her times? And how many pounds would she like to gain?
Is her weight gain desired for only cosmetic reasons? im not so sure if she can expect to run as fast with added weight especially for a half miler!

Unless she has an eating disorder or is considerably under the standards for weight for girls her size and age, adding weight won't improve performance. If on the other hand, she can decrease body fat, and increase or maintain muscle mass than she is sure to see some improvement.
