i coach two 18 year old high school male 400 runners who just finished an 8 week Frappier Acceleration program. From what they have told me – it sounds like they have had one special endurance workout per week and one speed/hill session per week. we start practice on monday and they are probably in pretty good race shape – but where do we go from here? our significant competitions are 10 weeks from now. what should we do?
i was thinking maybe we could use an ends to middle program (accel/maxv and ext tempo early and come back to speed endurance in early april). what do you think?
