I thought the Bompa book was very good as far as periodization goes (I have it too). I havent looked at it in a while though, and maybe it's something I should get back to.

I only have one of the Charlie Francis DVDs (the GPP one) and I found it to be very informative, and showing how to do a lot of the stuff that people talk about it always a plus. If you can afford them, I'd say go for it.

          My library…
Periodization: Theory and Methodology of Training by Bompa
          Speed Trap by Charlie Francis
Training for Speed by Charlie Francis
Peak When it Counts by William Freeman
Sports Speed by Tellez, Ward, and Dintiman

I thought they all had good points, although I didint like some of the stuff in Sports Speed.
