Coach Boo Schexnayder is a master coach in every sense of the word.
Coach Boo Schexnayder is a master coach in every sense of the word.

I’m super excited to announce a clinic I’ve been wanting to put together for some time. In conjunction with Proformance and hosted by Athletic Lab, I’m putting on a super clinic with some of the best minds in sports performance. The two day clinic will be headlined by my mentor, Boo Schexnayder. Boo is an absolute genius coach who can simplify the complex better than anyone I know. His athletes have won countless NCAA, USATF, World Championship and Olympic medals and he is widely regarded as one of the foremost coach educators in the world. Coach Carl Valle who is one of the most forthright straight shooters there is, recently wrote that one of?Boo’s clinics was “THE BEST SPEED WORKSHOP I HAVE ATTENDED IN THE LAST 10 YEARS – OR MAYBE EVER.“?The schedule is not yet finalized but Boo will be giving?at least 7?lectures.

But that’s not all…even though listening to Boo would be reason enough to attend, I’ve also assembled a supporting cast who are rock stars in their own right.

    Other confirmed speakers are:

    • Greg Gatz?- UNC Director of Strength & Conditioning for Olympic Sports
    • Ryan?Horn?- Wake Forest Director of Athletic Performance
    • Nate Brookreson?- NCSU?Director of Strength & Conditioning for Olympic Sports
    • Bob Alejo?- NCSU Director of Strength and Conditioning
    • Mike Young?- Athletic Lab Director of Performance

While the exact topics are still being nailed down, the focus will be on high performance methods for athletic development. Boo and I will focus primarily on speed and power development. Other speakers will present on periodization and strength training in team settings, athlete monitoring, and the use of sport technology to enhance athletic development. Needless to say it should be an exciting weekend.

We will also be accepting applications for?our?”Future Leaders Program” that will give?young up-and-coming coaches an opportunity to present their work in short form (15-30 minutes) presentations.
