My good friend Andrew Allden has done a great job over the years organizing coaches education events for national governing bodies as well as summits and symposiums for coaches. 2 years ago he started Speed and Endurance Summits which brought together top coaches and sport scientists in their respective fields. I spoke at the first iteration of the Speed Summit and found it to be one of the best meetings of its kind that I’d ever attended.

For 2014, he’s organized the third Speed Summit to be held in Morristown, NJ on January 18 and 19th of 2014. The speaker lineup is impressive as always with Vern Gambetta, Gary Winckler, Dr. Brad Deweese and Dr. Peter Weyand as the featured presenters.

For more information go to the Speed Summit website.?The course is open to all coaches and athletes, previous certification is not required to attend. Sign up now to avoid the late fee and secure a spot for meal with the speakers (seating is limited). Eligible participants can earn USATF Level 3 and NSCA CEU credit. You can use the code ‘Mike’ for a discount at checkout.?
